Welcome to the 2026 Solstice Race Information page.

The Solstice Race was begun in the late 1990’s as the Rockland Yacht Club has held an annual race on the Saturday closest to the longest day of the year. Aptly named the Solstice Race, this event is held around government marks in West Penobscot Bay. Racers can look forward to friendly, spirited competition - a shake-down race for all! Join us post-race back at the clubhouse for a low-country shrimp boil and more. Trophies awarded to one design, racing, and cruising classes. This is the reward for those who get their boats in the water early and come out to mix it up!
