This race is a great opportunity for women to get more experience. A woman skipper must alone hold the helm on most legs of the course, during the start and finish, all tacks, gybes, mark roundings, and represent the boat in any protest. Note that the same woman does not need to skipper the boat for all 4 races for the boat to qualify for the perpetual trophy; however, the boat must delegate a single team lead female skipper at registration to represent the team and to have her name on the perpetual trophy.
2026 Spirit opportunities are: Week 1 – dress yourself and/or your boat in pink; Week 2 – come as a strong female (this could be a real person or a fictional character); Week 3 – dress yourself and/or your boat in red, white & blue; Week 4 – aaaargh, come as a pirate! Spirit Trophy will be awarded June 30.
Hope to see you on the water!

June Cup - Women at the Helm - updated SI's & course chart
Ahoy racers! A few last minute updates: (1) we have eliminated the B-class (SPIN) due to limited registration; therefore we will have the A-class (SPIN) and the C-class (NON-SPIN) classes only; note the updated starting sequence in the new SI's; and (2) with A-mark and Y-mark both off station, we will not be using any course containing those marks so we have added three additional potential courses in the updated Course Chart. Be sure to print the updated documents or feel free to pick them up at the PRYC Clubhouse between 4:00 and 5:00 tonight.
Again, tonight's spirit theme is "pink" and the gate code is "0602" so please let your crew know.
See you on the water!

June Cup - Women at the Helm - additional information
Ahoy Racers! Thank you to all who have registered! We currently have 13 registered boats, with only one boat in Spin-B class....we will be monitoring the registration list and may need to move the B boat into either A or C class, so if we eliminate B class, it will affect the starting sequence. We will update the SI's tomorrow evening if this occurs so please check back Tuesday morning.
Following are the weekly gate codes for the series:
