Come one, come all!!! Watch the Tall Ships! 

Have a boat? Does it float? No boat but want to (booze) cruise on someone else's boat? Want to make friends in the boating community? Join us for a relaxing and friendly sail + float + party +swim (and whatever else you want to do!)

The Tall Ships come to Boston in under two weeks (Link Tall Ships). CYC is coordinating a loose flotilla on Saturday July 11^th, out in the Harbor Islands for those who want to take their boats out! Bring your dinghies - it should be a fun day on the water!

The CYC fleet is looking to anchor between zones 9 & 10 ( photo below). There are no reservations out in the anchorage, and after 8 am recreational boat movement in the harbor will not be possible or very limited.  Anchorage will be on a first come first serve basis. Plan on staying out there the whole day. See below for additional Information:

Tall Ship Parade: Saturday, 7/11

• The Parade of Sail begins at 9am. See map at following link for the parade route (Link).
• There are 13 designated observation areas called Temporary Spectator Areas (TSAs) in both the inner and outer harbor on 7/11 as well as on 7/10 when the ships arrive off Nahant.
• EXPECT THAT THERE WILL BE NO or extremely limited passage through the inner harbor from 8am to 4pm on 7/11.
• Once you anchor you are technically stuck there until 4pm on 7/11.
• After 4pm you can see all the tall ships by motoring by them via the pre-determined routes shown in the map below.
• Fireworks at 8:30pm off Fan Pier

Security Checkpoints & Prohibited Items

Please be aware that Sail Boston security checkpoints will be in operation throughout the event, including at key access points within Charlestown on Saturday, July 11. All guests entering secured event areas should expect airport-style security screening and bag inspections. Screening checkpoints are scheduled to open at approximately 7:00 AM. Guests leaving secured areas will be required to pass through screening again upon re-entry.

To avoid delays, please review the Sail Boston prohibited items list prior to your arrival. Common prohibited items include backpacks and large bags, firearms or weapons, fireworks, alcohol, drones, coolers on wheels, wagons, bicycles, electric scooters, grills, propane tanks, and pets (excluding certified service animals). There will be no storage facilities available for prohibited items, and guests arriving with prohibited items may be denied entry to secured areas.
